White butterflies.
I see them all the time.
Fluttering, never really still, or resting.
What does it mean?
I looked it up.
It’s good.
Very spiritual too.
‘In many cultures, white butterflies represent transformation, renewal, and rebirth. Some believe they are a sign of good fortune and a beacon of hope for the future.’
Awesome, gimme!
Uh.
But how do I know that the meanings I find online are 100% true?
Are they verifiable?
Nah.
Meanings are made up.
They’re romantic stories that live somewhere in the vast realm of superstition.
They work, at least partially, if you want them to work.
They’re everywhere (if we look for them) and we can pick them up and cherish them and like them and hold them close, or totally ignore them.
They are part of the game of life, and they can make it much more interesting, fair, soothing, and hopeful.
So I google on.
‘White Butterflies Are Like Angels Watching Over You.’
Cool.
‘Keep in mind that a white butterfly doesn’t necessarily mean that something major is in your near future. It could actually be something smaller that is bringing you joy right at that moment. It could simply be a sign that you are having a wonderful day and to look forward to small things that all add up to happiness.’
Oh, okay.
That’s a bit less spectacular.
Still cool, but also a bit generic.
Maybe I should look for signs in the clouds, specific pieces of music, or orbs.
Or what about opening up to encountering yellow flowers, particular words, or types of people?
The cool thing about meaning is that it only needs your conviction.
Meanings mean something when they do.
Have a wonderful, fluttery day.
