I thought about sitting on a chair for two days.
Doing nothing, really.
As an experiment of sorts.
An exploration.
Without goals or things to attain.
A way of being in Truth without distraction.
Just sitting.
Aware.
The simplicity of life going by.
Probably enduring the hardship of boredom and the struggling mind, and then finding the other side.
Sitting, sitting, sitting.
Nothing else.
And then afterward, maybe I could write about it.
A blog, or a book.
So there actually WAS a goal.
Haha.
This is not the first time an idea like this came up.
As a matter of fact, I’ve seen thousands and thousands of these suggestions that smell like sincerity and waking up (at least to me).
Staying in a forest for a while.
Sitting on the beach from morning to evening.
Being in the mountains, in a small hut maybe.
While fasting, of course.
No phone.
No stuff.
And simply being with whatever comes up.
Those things seem to be really attractive sometimes.
And promising, too.
As if a deeper wisdom will be revealed if I’m just still enough.
Something that will catapult me into enlightenment forever.
Trying to find the essence of life, trying to get to the heart of it all, but in a very specific way.
A spiritual way.
Of stillness.
Yes.
Hahaha.
The promise of a brighter, more fulfilling future.
Slowing down and then telling everybody about it.
The idea that being in a meditative state for a bit, is better or more valuable than making a sloppy peanut butter sandwich.
‘Look at me, I need nothing, I’m not enslaved like the rest of the world!’
Hahahahaha.
So cute 🙂
