Okay, step away from thinking.

Don’t entertain a single thought.

Do it like it’s the only thing on earth.

It IS the only thing on earth.

And it will make you happy.

It will liberate you.

Don’t discuss it with your mind, or debate it, or try to answer questions about it, or defend it.

You don’t need it.

Discussions and debates and questions and doubts and objections are the mind’s weapons of choice.

It wants you to stay engaged, no matter what, so it will throw literally anything at you to see if it sticks.

But you don’t need it.

You really don’t, no matter what the mental claims are.

So don’t, just don’t.

Instead, do this:

Thought > back off.

Another thought > back off again.

Keep doing it, doing it, doing it > back off, back off, back off.

You WILL be able to live well and do things and make choices.

You don’t need that fucking thinking machine that goes on all the time, pretending, making up stuff, commenting.

Go back inside, back away from the thoughts, instantly, constantly, completely.

Back off, back away.

Keep doing it.

Every time you sense a thought or an emotion.

It’s not denial: it’s just the end of useless interference.

It’s the beginning of a more balanced life.

It’s the only way into sustainable wellbeing.

Because the mind will NEVER be satisfied.

So don’t listen.

Don’t entertain it.

Don’t fight it.

And don’t try to figure it out.

The mind will not let you go as soon as you follow it again.

It will jam its hooks into you and start dragging you back.

It will try and keep you there and throw ideas and notions at you, all the fucking time, because that’s how it’s built and that’s how it works.

‘Yeah but…’

‘I’m important!’

‘You need me, you need me for everything!’

‘I make you smart!’

‘I keep you safe!!’

‘I will bring you happiness, but first…’

Just don’t go there.

Be present, and be present more, and stay present.

All day long.

Make it your number one priority.

Back away.

Keep backing away.

And soon you will find the first taste of this deliciously blissful, powerful, spacious knowing that is like a non-stop, sweet connection in the background.

Feel that connection.

It’s the only fucking thing you need.

It’s your solid ground.

Go there, stay there.

Back away from the thoughts.

Keep backing away.

Don’t reason with the mind.

Don’t engage with its suggestions.

Don’t even listen to its compliments.

Back away.

Keep backing away.

Do it.

You’ll still know what to do and where to go.

You won’t silence the mind completely, forever.

You’re just showing it a new position.

Humble.

Less agitated.

More quiet.

Less reactive.

More trusting.

Simpler.
