Let’s open this message with some blatant arrogance:
I think I have a better sense of what you want than you do.
That’s not because we’ve talked for hours and I know everything about you now.
It’s also not because I’m psychic and I can read your mind.
It’s because I know the human predicament.
We’re all the same.
I know what freaks us out and I know about our deepest wishes.
And talking about the latter:
It’s not the job or the house or the relationship or the startup.
It’s not the body or the sportscar or the pool or the fame or the credentials or the bitcoins.
That’s all fine (and quite doable), but it’s not really about that.
What it’s REALLY about is the perceived result, the direct outcome of finally getting what you want.
Happiness.
Peace of mind.
The end of being haunted by desire.
You want to feel good as much as possible, and if you seem to have lost that for a bit, you want to know it’s still okay.
That’s it.
Now, as the cliché goes: the stuff will not get you the feeling, sustainably.
That either means more stuff, all the time, or more feeling.
And that’s why you’d want to hire me, the somewhat arrogant or confident coach.
Let’s get you the feeling.
