When we grow up
we lose the eyes of a kid.
We don’t see life anymore
just ideas, concepts, things, words.
When a kid looks at the world
it doesn’t see cats
raindrops
rocks
clouds
butterflies
ice creams
or ugliness and hate.
It doesn’t even see the world.
It sees the miracle of life.
It sees life AS it is.
Ungraspable.
Unlearnable.
Uncontrollable.
Unknowable.
Un-understandable.
Where did it go, this precious, natural talent to just be in life, not in our heads?
Where are our kid’s eyes?
Maybe we’ve lost them.
But we can still FEEL the miracle of life.
