Betting on a shitty promise.

Do you know what REALLY pisses me off?

The notion that when people don’t benefit from a specific spiritual or self-help modality, it’s their fault.

“Stupid YOU!”

They just didn’t try hard enough.

They didn’t want it badly enough.

They simply need to invest more.

“IT’S YOU!”

I see this all the time.

Sad people, very lost people, deeply devastated people, suffering from the idea that they fucked up.

After years of buying into something that was supposed to liberate them or make them rich and happy, they still feel like shit, or in many cases even worse than before.

Saying that you didn’t try hard enough is not just really harsh and cruel, it’s a completely ridiculous thing to use as an argument.

Because it ISN’T an argument.

It’s wrapped up guilt.

It’s motivational poison.

I have met people who tried something for years and years without the slightest bit of positive result, and still believe that this isn’t enough and more is required.

This is not rare.

It’s the silent majority.

The army of self-blamers.

Too ashamed to open up about it.

Too disappointed to be angry.

And very often secretly hoping for the next book or course or modality to do the trick.

That is why I am pissed off for them.

You are not to blame.

You were just betting on a shitty promise.
