I was watching a fairly engaging YouTube video.
It was easy to agree with a lot of the things that were said, but I also had some doubts and objections (I often do).
Oh, and there were issues with the talking head too.
Quite a few, actually.
But it was quite rewarding just the same, despite the rhythmical ‘yes, yes, hm, no, yes, nah, yes, sure, yes, okay, really?’ that was going on in my mind.
And then it hit me: what if this isn’t THE way to experience this?
Or anything, really?
What if I could acknowledge and see that literally EVERYTHING that happens in my life is interesting in its own way?
What if I truly realize that, since I’m the creator of my world (and I am, just like you are the creator of yours), everything I encounter must have some value or even a lot of it?
Now, this is fascinating.
Why?
Because I simply know it’s true, and it opens all kinds of amazing possibilities.
It’s due to our personal filters and all the subjective projections we make, that we have preferences, that stuff excites us or frustrates the crap out of us.
It’s all part of the human diversity deal, it’s totally cool, but it’s not where it has to stop.
Seeing everything as interesting doesn’t mean that you have to forcefully change your preferences, it’s more of a meta distinction.
It’s about coming from a place where even being bored is interesting.
Boring AND interesting.
Frustrating AND interesting.
Uncomfortable AND interesting.
The moment you are sincerely interested, no matter what, everything starts to change.
Don’t just believe me.
See for yourself.
Reflect on it.
Chew on it.
Try it.
What would that do for your life?
