“Look, there’s no monster under your bed!” we say.

“You’re just making that up.”

And we smile.

Because of their innocence, their naivety.

If only they knew what’s waiting for them.

And we hope they grow up strong and brave enough to face the REAL monsters.

Like the Future.

Or ‘Not Being Good Enough’.

Or the Fear Of Missing Out.

And the terrifying notion of What If.

Yeah.

They don’t have a clue yet.

It’s a good thing we’ve got it all figured out.
