You can’t think yourself out of a depression.
You can’t think yourself into love.
You can’t think yourself out of worry.
You can’t think yourself into peace, or happiness.
But you still try, right?
Thinking, thinking, thinking.
Would you say that’s a deliberate choice?
Does it make much sense to keep doing something when you know from experience that it will not work?
Yeah, I know.
This is the Mind Carousel.
Always spinning.
Always captivating.
Always churning out new problems that need new solutions.
Round, and round, and round.
Sure, it might stop for a second, but it will always move again.
Round, and round.
And because it’s almost always moving, you’ll never find anything stable and sustainable.
There’s no firm ground in your thinking.
And yet that’s what you want.
Lasting peace.
Lasting trust.
Lasting happiness.
So if it’s not in the mind, and if it’s not in stuff, where is it?
Let me show you.
