Bringing light into the world.

Can you love life, even when it seems unlovable?

Can you appreciate the not-getting-what-you-want?

This is not meant to be a challenge or something you’re supposed to do.

It’s not a sign of a particular ripeness or proof of spiritual accolades.

It’s a question.

I just wonder.

Because I sure as fuck find it way easier to like life when it’s easy and comfortable and full of things that (seem to) inspire me.

But I’ve also noticed that my bandwidth of positive interest has broadened, quite dramatically even.

It’s not that I like more things: I seem to approach things with more openness and appreciation.

Many things.

It feels like bringing light into the world.

A form of curious contamination.

And it’s a general thing, something that applies to the most random situations and people and things.

It’s very clear, this change, because I used to dislike almost everything around me.

Maybe you recognize this.

Life gets easier.

Liking gets easier.

It’s quite wonderful.
