About the book you MUST read to become enlightened.

There are many books and videos and quotes that have given me great clarity, but I have come to see that it’s not the books, the videos, or the quotes.

It’s the moment.

It’s the unique convergence that touches you in an essential way.

The timing.

Not the words, or the images, or even the depth or truth of anything.

I know this to be a fact because there are many books that I have revisited after an initial experience of clarity and insight, that somehow lost their power the second or third time around.

And I’ve also put down specific books numerous times just a few pages in, only to discover their magic after a random next attempt.

Whatever changes us is never the words or the images themselves, it’s always the timing of the truth.

It lands when it lands, and not before.

The human mind doesn’t understand divine timing.

We all have our own -mostly impatient- agendas and dreams and timeframes and we want (and even expect) life to make it happen.

‘It should have been a done deal by now!’

Since the deeper realization of having no idea how and when everything is unfolding, I more or less stopped giving recommendations.

I often get asked about the books people ‘should’ read, the teachers they ‘should’ listen to, and the videos they’re ‘supposed’ to watch, but that doesn’t work for me anymore.

Even in my own life, I have seen how profoundly fluid my opinion about and regard for something can be, how certain books can totally seem to lose their magical qualities in my experience somehow, or how specific spiritual platforms (like non-duality or the 3P’s) no longer feed me enough.

I guess this is because of some kind of invisible order of unfolding.

These awesome lightbulb moments and insightful books and lessons can only happen because of everything that has been experienced before.

They need very specific, fertile, and deeply prepared ground to land on, so they can bloom and even explode into new expansion and fresh awareness.

So telling a person about a book that helped me a lot simply doesn’t make much sense anymore.

That said: because I know life changes my mind all the time, this is obviously just for now.

Maybe someday I will try to get the whole world to read a specific author or listen to a particular guru, but at this moment it’s nothing like that.

Every book that means something to me, is somehow the perfect follow-up for something that happened before that, but only for me, and only at that moment.

In my life.

And since that is so utterly unique and seemingly random, I stopped giving specific tips and advice.

Just try shit out and you’ll discover for yourself.

There is probably a book about that.
