Why don’t you grow horns?
I am dead serious.
Why don’t you?
…
Now if you don’t WANT horns, I get it, that’s a pretty solid argument.
But what if the only reason people don’t grow horns is because they simply don’t know they can?
There are a billion times a billion plus things in life that I could probably do if I just knew how.
It wouldn’t help much, though, if I’d start by believing it can’t be done.
And I would be wrong, too.
The fact that I don’t know how to create specific results (like horns) doesn’t say anything about the feasibility, the possibility.
It just says I don’t have the knowledge or the insight or the skills or the conviction.
Yet.
It just says I haven’t found a way to make it happen.
Yet.
But what if anything, I mean ANYTHING is possible and doable and creatable, and simply relies on your willingness to try and overcome your present inability, your stubborn disbelief?
Who says people can’t ultimately fly without machines or tools?
Who says you can’t lose 50 pounds of fat overnight?
Who says you can’t shed your chronic depression in a second?
I am sure someone, somewhere did it.
Somehow they stopped believing that it was impossible.
And don’t give me that lame-ass excuse about natural laws.
We are vibrating energy, for fuck’s sake!
I am sure we’re capable of growing horns, or fingers, or bank accounts, or hair, just like that.
But I also believe these things are to be mastered and acquired.
And for good reason.
I love us, the stumbling hard working human bodies and minds that we seem to be, but we would mess up everything if we were able to do and create everything we can think of, just like that.
We are just not smart enough to make all our wishes and dreams and visions come true, in a responsible and helpful way, because we have no clue about the implications.
The whole world would have horns or big boobs and private jets and nobody would ever be sick again or in turmoil or doubt.
We wouldn’t be able to handle and respect the power.
That’s why it is hidden from us.
That’s why it is supposed to be undoable, that’s why it LOOKS impossible.
But that doesn’t mean it IS.
