Hold it lightly.
The knowledge.
The opinions.
The meaning.
The suffering.
The person.
Because everything changes.
The ideas, the views, the concepts, the plans.
And you might need them for a while, they will serve a purpose, but freshness and newness will flush it all away again.
Cherish your principles (or Principles), but don’t think they confine or define you in any way.
Love your preferences and your intellectual constructs, but don’t try to build on them.
Hold it lightly, everything.
The kisses, the curses, the flowers, the Ferrari.
Don’t grasp, don’t cling.
It’s all fleeting.
Here today, gone tomorrow.
Hold it, hold it gently, carefully, deeply, sweetly.
But lightly.
