{"id":48872,"date":"2023-05-18T18:24:53","date_gmt":"2023-05-18T18:24:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/?p=48872"},"modified":"2023-05-18T18:24:57","modified_gmt":"2023-05-18T18:24:57","slug":"pain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/2023\/05\/18\/pain\/","title":{"rendered":"Pain."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Let\u2019s face it.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The worst suffering is always your suffering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pain that really matters, is yours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nobody can see it, and nobody can truly understand it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But you know it\u2019s there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s the intimate struggle that you and only you have to deal with, the exclusive confusion that creeps up on you and challenges you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your dirty little secret.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes it\u2019s totally overwhelming, and other times it\u2019s nothing but a faint, threatening buzz in the back of your experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today I want to acknowledge your pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not because I know it as you do, but because I know it as I do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I know about the suffering you literally can\u2019t escape from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I know about the crippling insecurity that doesn\u2019t make sense to anybody else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I know what it\u2019s like to be in a claustrophobic mental room where your only companion is the monster called Doubt, hiding in the shadows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s not yours, but it\u2019s LIKE yours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My pain has been with me for decades, I tried to escape it, suppress it, and drown it in alcohol, but it always returned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just like yours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your pain is the worst pain there is, without a doubt, because it\u2019s the most direct, most unflinching agony in existence, and there\u2019s no place to hide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You alone have to face it, while you pretend to live a normal life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s why I admire you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I admire your resilience and your toughness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I admire everything you do regardless of what\u2019s going on inside you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So let\u2019s face it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>YOU are the real hero in your life.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Let\u2019s face it.
