Maybe I\u2019ll stop using the word \u2018spiritual\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m not sure, but it\u2019s tempting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We talk about it like it\u2019s a piece of cheese on a farmer\u2019s table, like we all agree on what it looks like, tastes like, and what it means.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But we don\u2019t, not at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spirituality might be one of the most subjective and broadly interpreted concepts out there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can\u2019t stop picking up those things and running away with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday I came across someone who was talking about \u2018spiritual progress\u2019, somewhere on a random social media platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the comments mentioned \u2018spiritual bypassing\u2019, and that it\u2019s a bad, bad thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Really?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because I call total, utter, painful, infuriating bullshit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I mean: spiritual improvement?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What does that even mean?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you become MORE spiritual if you\u2019re already everything, if you are life playing with itself, Wholeness having fun?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you progress spiritually, and where are the exams you can take to earn the diplomas and certificates for your spiritual wall?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Does it really make sense that you, a non-stop creation of divine illusion, need to better in any way, to become more of what it already is?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is it a sign of spiritual advancement when you are more loving and empathetic and humble and mindful, and how do you measure that, and how do you know how much more there is to change, and who decided on this in the first place?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sounds to me those are just rules that are invented to keep this Awakening Club exclusive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ugh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And that stupid \u2018spiritual bypassing\u2019 thing again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Come on!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How can people be so ignorant that they don\u2019t see how ridiculously made up that is, how that\u2019s just another mental construct to divide everything into pieces and make some people look more sincere and serious than others?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018No, no, no, I\u2019m working through my pain, and I\u2019m not using spirituality to deny any of my darkness or my responsibility to change the world, haha, so pure, right?!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, not wrong, of course, but also not right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bullshit, for sure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spiritual bypassing is exactly like saying you\u2019re supposed to pray five times a day if you want to be a good Christian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s made up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You don\u2019t have to do anything to be spiritual, and you can\u2019t be EXTRA spiritual, even if you dress up like a guru, call yourself Nick Namaste, and move to Ibiza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ugh once more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whenever people open their mouths and start talking about how the universe should be, or how WE should be to be more divine, I tend to start suffering from spontaneous cringiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know it\u2019s part of this marvelous game, all these made-up things, I know, but it annoys the shit out of me just the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Especially in this bubble called spirituality, it\u2019s so obvious that we simply can\u2019t seem to shake our human tendency to be better and more and ultimate, even though we pretend to have descended our mere mortal status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s never enough just the way it is, and there\u2019s ALWAYS more shadow work and inner-child work and whateverthefuck work, before we\u2019re finally\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally what?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the endgame here?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And which holy institute governs over our spiritual habits, our spiritual ideas, and our spiritual progress?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s no such thing, and you know it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now you could ask why I even bother to be fucked up about this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And that would be a fair question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I don\u2019t have to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And most of the time I\u2019m not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But once in a while, I\u2019m obviously looking for stupid notions to demolish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think that\u2019s very spiritual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
