{"id":47737,"date":"2022-08-20T15:36:11","date_gmt":"2022-08-20T15:36:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/?p=47737"},"modified":"2022-08-20T15:36:15","modified_gmt":"2022-08-20T15:36:15","slug":"that-person","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/2022\/08\/20\/that-person\/","title":{"rendered":"That person."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>There\u2019s always that person.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The person who\u2019s willing to tell you<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That you don\u2019t get it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That you don\u2019t know what you\u2019re talking about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That you make it sound too easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That you haven\u2019t had REAL adversity in your life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That you\u2019re obviously misinformed and should start reading up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That you and all the things you say are exactly the problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That your story, your post, or your whatever, is painfully na\u00efve and utterly unrealistic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That you should be deeply ashamed and instead \u2018do something about it!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That you\u2019re privileged and too stupid to realize it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That the world would be a better place if you\u2019d just shut the fuck up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That the world would be an even BETTER place if you move to a cave and stay there forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That your ideas are one-sided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That you should wake up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That you\u2019re an ignorant asshole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That you only know half of the story (the least important half, of course).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That you\u2019re a disgrace to humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That you shouldn\u2019t have an opinion about X or Y if you haven&#8217;t at least got a degree in X or Y.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes I feel sorry for that person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes I\u2019d like them to develop a crippling disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And sometimes, sporadically, I AM that person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kinda good to realize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Photo by @karsten116, for Unsplash)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There\u2019s always that person.
