{"id":47563,"date":"2022-07-28T13:52:05","date_gmt":"2022-07-28T13:52:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/?p=47563"},"modified":"2022-07-28T13:52:21","modified_gmt":"2022-07-28T13:52:21","slug":"stupid-perfection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/2022\/07\/28\/stupid-perfection\/","title":{"rendered":"Stupid perfection."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>If everything is perfect as it is, why would I want to write about it all the time?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What\u2019s there to say about perfection?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, good question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This gig, this life-thing, this unfathomable happening we often appreciate so little, is SO incredibly and ridiculously perfect, that there\u2019s also room for imperfection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s a bit like unconditional love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It doesn\u2019t need to prove or defend itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s just there, staring at you with a huge, silent smile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Fuck you, you\u2019re not perfect, you stupid imperfect perfection!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Silent smile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018And what about his, and that, and this furious guy with the tiny German moustache, and what about that thing over there and what about these people, do you call THAT perfect!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More silent smiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This perfection is SO perfect, that it doesn\u2019t mind if we object to the idea of perfection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It doesn&#8217;t mind anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It loves, but not as we think about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also doesn\u2019t need approval, writing about it, or acknowledgment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Perfection is not an opinion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s just a different word for life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Photo by @aliarifsoydas, for Unsplash)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If everything is perfect as it is, why would I want to write about it all the time?
