If there\u2019s one cloud in the sky, there are not two.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are you with me?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So there\u2019s only one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Okay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now what can happen is, for instance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can dislike the single cloud, and wish it wasn’t here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But we can also wish it was bigger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or smaller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or more like a rabbit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or more spectacular, maybe a bit more dramatic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And we could just as well wish there would be more clouds, say three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or five.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or enough clouds to fill up the whole sky, and hide the blueness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But there\u2019s still only one cloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stupid game, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You would never do any of these things, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, you do, obviously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You actually do it all day long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s called \u2018resistance\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s called \u2018not accepting what is\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s called \u2018being dissatisfied with the status quo\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it\u2019s stupid as fuck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t mean to insult you, but it IS stupid as fuck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s stupid as fuck when you see all the resistance you have in light of the one cloud analogy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Life is never what it\u2019s not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One cloud means one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five clouds, five.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Circumstances, situations, and events are exactly how they are experienced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That doesn\u2019t mean the experience is correct and accurate and even true, per se, but it DOES mean that the experience is there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The single cloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Innocently hanging in the sky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let’s try and see if we can use it to learn something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What would happen if we\u2019d be able to recognize the total uselessness of constantly resisting what is?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m not asking you to stop all attempts at changing things and just fall on the floor like a ragdoll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m asking you to consider the consequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a thought experiment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s not a command, and it\u2019s not even something we can \u2018do\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accepting what is (because it simply is), is not an activity, not a willful act, not an operation, not something you make happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s something you see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One cloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s just see what happens next, okay?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n
