When you say \u2018I\u2019m looking forward to something\u2019, there’s more to it.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So let me remind you once again of how special we are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How inventive, how creative, and how miraculous we are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because looking forward to something is not purely that: it\u2019s just as much \u2018feeling forward\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re not simply having flat images, like looking at a cartoon; we can sense how they\u2019d feel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re there, in a way, we\u2019re already there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re in a future that may never even happen, but we feel it anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just let that sink in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What’s there is not really there…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s way more than simply making up stuff, it\u2019s the full-on creation of intricate, vivid, physical experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I guess we don\u2019t really appreciate this super talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It seems we totally take it for granted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It seems we\u2019re SO used to having these really complete experiences, that we\u2019re never conscious enough to realize what\u2019s actually going on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That we\u2019re living in a future dream, which feels as real and captivating as anything that\u2019s happening around you right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking forward to something, a well-deserved holiday, a romantic dinner, or meeting an old friend in a vibrant city, is one of the most amazing things in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By reflecting on these scenes, by thinking about them, we bring them to life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s not there in the moment (and, once again, may never ever be there), is suddenly pulled into awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The future joy is there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The future excitement and giddiness are there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The love is there, the fun is there, and even the warmth of the sun and the smell of a pool can be there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All directly experienced, while none of it is actually happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re CONSTANTLY painting life, and we never see that, never really get that, and hardly ever celebrate it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re totally amazing and wonderful creators of experience, but we very much dismiss this unique, magical talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m not saying it\u2019s bad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because what happens is what happens and that\u2019s it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And if we\u2019re supposed to be blas\u00e9 about something that is essentially incredibly special, well, that\u2019s how it is, and how it obviously works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m just here to remind you of how cool it is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m here to consciously cherish the power of your imagination, and mine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m just telling you, right here and right now, that you\u2019re an incredible artist, that you\u2019re an absolute wizard, and that you\u2019re living in a world that doesn\u2019t ultimately exist, but feels like it does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crazy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And you know what?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m really looking forward to the moment you recognize and appreciate it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
