{"id":47424,"date":"2022-07-15T10:33:29","date_gmt":"2022-07-15T10:33:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/?p=47424"},"modified":"2022-07-15T10:33:35","modified_gmt":"2022-07-15T10:33:35","slug":"zooming-out","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/2022\/07\/15\/zooming-out\/","title":{"rendered":"Zooming out."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I was grazing for topics to write about.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most of the time they just drop in my lap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A cat, catting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An insight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A cool reflection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Feeling good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An embarrassment that feels funny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Or just a sloppy train of words that want to be expressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s always something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sunlight on the floor, and the dust particles using it for a little party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The tiny frog I saw this morning when I was in the forest, and its perfection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What a client told me, spontaneously, and how they looked after realizing the depth of their observation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why love is here and how we know it\u2019s here and what it actually is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And why suffering and worrying can drop away in a heartbeat, and even if we\u2019ve been through that process a thousand times, it still feels like it\u2019s different, hopeless, bad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Who I am, because, well, I don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And why it sometimes looks like I do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How remembering works, and forgetting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s always something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Feeling good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Feeling REALLY good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Feeling amazing for no reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All these things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But this morning I was out of sorts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As if every time something came up, a topic, a subject, a thing to chew on, I automatically zoomed out and it stopped being interesting or worthy of exploring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zooming out, zooming out, zooming out more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Writing about temporary illusory stuff is what I always do, but sometimes it feels weird and useless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not in a negative or dark way, but just\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zooming out, zooming out more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Writing about Grand Stuff is what I often do too, but I still keep zooming out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zooming out more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What\u2019s left?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More zooming out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What\u2019s real?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is always real, even if I don\u2019t know what it is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thisness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It will never get more real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(Photo by @ansleycreative, for Unsplash)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was grazing for topics to write about.
