\u2018Do you know you\u2019re alive, are you aware of that?\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Uh, yeah, I guess?\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Well, that\u2019s LITERALLY where happiness starts!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Hahahahaha, sure! Whatever\u2026\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many reasons why I love coaching so much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The simplicity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The obviousness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the fact that most of us overlook the True Treasure all the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s like sharing a secret that\u2019s not really a secret, and feels way too good to be true anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An incredibly interesting activity that needs intricate, surgical precision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lot of trust in the unfolding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And a shitload of intuition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s what makes it so challenging:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right now, as I write this in Amsterdam, simply being aware of being alive feels incredibly good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being Aware Of Being Alive Feels Amazing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A-ma-zing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Huh?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I mean, I was alive ever since I was born, I guess, so why didn\u2019t I always feel how and what I feel in this moment?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The idea that the exact same thing can have such a different impact and value and tangible feeling is totally out of this world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it just doesn\u2019t make sense!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Yeah, sure, I\u2019m alive, but so what? I don\u2019t like this version of being alive, I still need stuff, I need to get rid of stuff, I hate a lot of stuff, and I love other stuff that I don\u2019t have but still need to get, so there\u2019s still SO MUCH work to do. Who cares about consciousness, man!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THAT makes sense, THAT sounds like what needs to be done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stuff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The change that comes from really hard and arduous work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The results, the goals, the tops of the mountains, the shiny gold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And so I get it that not a single person in the world gets excited when they hear that \u2018being aware of awareness is where you find all the freedom you want\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, it\u2019s what I sell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I don\u2019t just sell the experience that comes with the shift, this conscious recognition of this utterly liberating, natural state: it all starts with the treacherous, unpredictable road towards it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The road that’s literally covered with mental bombs, toxic beliefs, solid habits, crystallized cynicism, and soul-sucking stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love coaching So.Fucking.Much because I get to guide all kinds of people along this path, this very personal and unique journey, while being respectfully aware that it\u2019s a purely imaginary adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have nothing to prove and I have ultimately nothing to teach, because I know that finding their way home simply requires a moment of insight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And that WILL happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s my job to assist in the exploration, to remove apparent obstacles, and hang in there and make the journey with them, even though I know exactly where we\u2019re going.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This makes me a living compass, a signpost with arms, and a magnet at the same time, and being all that is incredibly satisfying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I never knew that the most obvious realization in the world is the hardest thing to recognize, but I\u2019m eternally grateful for this tantalizing riddle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
