{"id":47216,"date":"2022-06-27T21:26:01","date_gmt":"2022-06-27T21:26:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/?p=47216"},"modified":"2022-06-27T21:33:56","modified_gmt":"2022-06-27T21:33:56","slug":"happy-without-homework","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/2022\/06\/27\/happy-without-homework\/","title":{"rendered":"Happy without homework."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Never giving clients homework can be problematic.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not telling them to do something can be confusing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Huh?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because that\u2019s what we\u2019ve all learned: in order to change, we have to do stuff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s funny that it can take a while to convince people that they don\u2019t need it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No journaling, no breathing, no affirmations, no letting go of suppressed emotions, no accountability, no whatever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It sounds lazy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybe even too simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How can they learn and see and become something if there\u2019s no stuff to study, not even a recommended book or podcast?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What kind of coaching is that?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That is not the only time generally adopted, popular ideas can get in the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s the same with patterns, unconscious beliefs, and old habits that they are projecting out into the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Things they&#8217;ve heard about and mention like it&#8217;s really essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But I don\u2019t touch those either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018So how will I know when I\u2019ve found the real me?\u2019, she asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018You\u2019ll feel happy.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Photo by @timothymeinberg, for Unsplash)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Never giving clients homework can be problematic.
