\u2018Everything happens for a reason\u2019, right?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I guess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reason is that it happens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s for sure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And maybe that\u2019s enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And maybe it\u2019s not, and that\u2019s why there are plenty of other reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ones that make sense, or help us feel good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ones we take on because we look for depth and meaning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ones that soothe our pain and spark our hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ones that tell us we\u2019re learning and getting somewhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or the ones that are part of the framework that keeps us mentally sane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And there are also the ones that make life look fair and logical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We love reasons why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes the reason might simply be that people can say there\u2019s no such thing as a reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, it seems almost cruel and cold to say that things only happen because they happen, and there\u2019s nothing else to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A minimalist approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s like you don\u2019t really appreciate the value of personal interpretations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But who cares, and who knows?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reason or no reason: there\u2019s not a single person in the world who\u2019s in possession of the absolute truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re all floating somewhere between glowing childlike optimism and smelly dark cynicism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe things happen so we can work with that creation, use it, run with it, make it into something, whatever it is, anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe they happen because we simply need stuff to happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can pick the one you like and that works for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although picking and choosing are probably also just happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe everything is just happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For no reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or for many reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who cares?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n
