{"id":46919,"date":"2022-05-29T10:52:57","date_gmt":"2022-05-29T10:52:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/?p=46919"},"modified":"2022-05-29T10:53:05","modified_gmt":"2022-05-29T10:53:05","slug":"bringing-light-into-the-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/2022\/05\/29\/bringing-light-into-the-world\/","title":{"rendered":"Bringing light into the world."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Can you love life, even when it seems unlovable?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Can you appreciate the not-getting-what-you-want?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not meant to be a challenge or something you\u2019re supposed to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s not a sign of a particular ripeness or proof of spiritual accolades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s a question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I just wonder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because I sure as fuck find it way easier to like life when it\u2019s easy and comfortable and full of things that (seem to) inspire me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But I\u2019ve also noticed that my bandwidth of positive interest has broadened, quite dramatically even.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s not that I like more things: I seem to approach things with more openness and appreciation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It feels like bringing light into the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A form of curious contamination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And it\u2019s a general thing, something that applies to the most random situations and people and things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s very clear, this change, because I used to dislike almost everything around me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybe you recognize this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Life gets easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Liking gets easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s quite wonderful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Photo by @dhayaeddinebentaleb, for Unsplash)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Can you love life, even when it seems unlovable?
