{"id":46873,"date":"2022-05-24T10:42:57","date_gmt":"2022-05-24T10:42:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/?p=46873"},"modified":"2022-05-24T10:43:13","modified_gmt":"2022-05-24T10:43:13","slug":"so-exquisite","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/2022\/05\/24\/so-exquisite\/","title":{"rendered":"So exquisite."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>I\u2019m standing on my balcony.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Watching stuff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hearing things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And I realize:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking at the world, dividing it into things we recognize and have given a name, doesn\u2019t mean we understand it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I see what we call trees, bushes, a neighbor washing her window, a seagull and a blackbird, red and blue and yellow houses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I hear the rain, and the wind, or the sound we call wind, in the leaves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There seems to be a world going on, lives seemingly lived, but that doesn\u2019t explain anything or mean anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Words are not the aliveness, the changes, the wholeness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seeing the world as we think we know it, is an experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And it\u2019s not even that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can never understand life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But living it is SO exquisite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Photo by @kellysikkema, for Unsplash)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019m standing on my balcony.
