I just talked to a very lovely person who seems to be in a very shitty place.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

People who’ve invested a lot in their spiritual growth, tend to really freak out when dark days arrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s confusing to realize that all your knowledge, all your apparent moments of bliss and transcendence, offer no leverage whatsoever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I say this lovingly, and knowingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right now I happen to be in a really good place, but it can vary a lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m very much aware of this dreadful confusion, and I\u2019m also very aware of how difficult it is to deal with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who knows?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes it helps to see it as a lesson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes you\u2019re able to stay with it and not get completely engulfed by it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes you can even dive straight into it and come up again with whatever it is you come up with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And many times it just creates sheer panic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You run towards your bookshelves or YouTube, looking for exercises, tips, and other ways to up your spiritual game (and get distracted).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s unavoidable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s obviously unavoidable because it happens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obviously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But what else can you do about it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not really.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time will fix it for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And yet, in the meantime, you can do whatever seems the right thing to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or the only thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Complaining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meditating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building a tiny house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting in fights with people on Facebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or just get lost in it a bit more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It sucks, it REALLY sucks, that sometimes the only thing you can do is drag yourself through the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s not very elegant, and it doesn\u2019t seem very awakened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But who the fuck cares?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n
