Give the mind what it wants, and it\u2019ll only want more.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Give it nothing and it will haunt you constantly, until you give in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or maybe not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because there IS a way out (which actually is more of a way in).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s stepping away from the noise of the mind, of its enticing assessments of life and all its suggestions to fix what’s seemingly wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s becoming aware of the mind instead of being wrapped up in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You know this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ve heard about this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ve probably tried it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And you\u2019re also not doing it most of the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because you\u2019re using the mind to get rid of the mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it will play that fun game, at least for a bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But you can’t ultimately use the mind to get rid of the mind, so as soon as the experience of life starts to get pretty comfortable, simple, and joyful, the mind will return in many creative ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gentle and flattering:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Good job, now let\u2019s put this into a method, let\u2019s think about all we can do with it!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fear-inducing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018This will not last, so let\u2019s prepare for that!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018You need me, I\u2019ll protect you!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pleasing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018I\u2019m important, I know what\u2019s good for you!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or extremely close and intimate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Come on, you know I AM you, right?!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So what happens?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll give it what it wants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, you do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Until you realize, deeper than the mind, what\u2019s going on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And you go inside again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sweet and amazing idiots, that\u2019s what we are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
