{"id":46805,"date":"2022-05-20T11:12:54","date_gmt":"2022-05-20T11:12:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/?p=46805"},"modified":"2022-05-20T11:13:00","modified_gmt":"2022-05-20T11:13:00","slug":"everything-as-one","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/2022\/05\/20\/everything-as-one\/","title":{"rendered":"Everything as one."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Okay.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s do a little experiment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Look around you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out your environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let your eyes wander, your ears be curious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Observe, absorb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s a question:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How many experiences do you have right now?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Is it one for everything you see?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Does every table, cup, person, cat, flower, train, bicycle, chair, itch, yawn, or sense of boredom come as a separate thing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Or is everything you see (and hear, and smell, and feel) part of just one experience?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because that\u2019s how it looks to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One experience, containing everything at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sense of a person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The feeling of a leg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sound of traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pale blue sky with some sloppy cloud action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A cat on the deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aren\u2019t all these ingredients of life still part of a single, non-stop experience?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It seems to me that it\u2019s all happening within this one thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This one thing IS all that is happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One thing, ALL the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Can we be that?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Photo by @jacalynbeales, for Unsplash)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Okay.
