{"id":46629,"date":"2022-04-28T10:49:11","date_gmt":"2022-04-28T10:49:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/?p=46629"},"modified":"2022-04-28T11:06:04","modified_gmt":"2022-04-28T11:06:04","slug":"what-if-we-actually-could-love-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/2022\/04\/28\/what-if-we-actually-could-love-more\/","title":{"rendered":"What if we actually could love more?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Can we love life exactly as it is?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Completely, fully, aaaaall the way?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is both a philosophical question and an opportunity to practically explore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because not loving life the way it is seems logical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s a lot we don\u2019t appreciate about how stuff works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many things need improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s a lot that\u2019s wrong, unfair, unbalanced, fucked up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why would we ever love THAT?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wouldn\u2019t that mean that we actually agree with whatever is wrong?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How do we change things from there?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Where\u2019s the compassion in that?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wouldn\u2019t people take advantage of us?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You see, the question of loving life fully brings up a lot of fierce resistance and harsh judgment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Loving life fully, embracing life without holding back, seems to be the easy way out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Naive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unrealistic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Egotistical, even.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But what if it\u2019s not?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What if loving EVERYTHING is actually the only thing the world really needs?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What if we could drop the cynicism?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How would it change your life?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What if you\u2019d be able to drop the idea that fighting life is unavoidable and necessary?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It seems to me that loving everything exactly as it is would open up a whole new world of creative possibilities, beyond resistance and force and aggression and opposition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I guess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s not that I know how to do it, but I definitely like the idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m not saying it&#8217;s simple, and you don&#8217;t have to agree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For me, it feels exciting and liberating, expansive and rich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Without all the objections, it simply feels really good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybe I\u2019ll just follow that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Photo by @benwhitephotography, for Unsplash)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Can we love life exactly as it is?
