We all live on the same planet.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or at least we seem to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But we also live in completely different worlds, all the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our worlds are created meticulously and individually, in the moment, right now, and built from preferences, ideas, tastes, beliefs, likes, and dislikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And our experiences can be so very, very far apart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whatever I truly believe to be breathtakingly beautiful, you can perceive to be bland and ugly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whatever I see as truth, you might consider being fake and unreal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I love to listen to can hurt your ears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I can look forward to, you can anticipate in deep anxiety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And what I crave and would happily die for, might be totally uninteresting and boring to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We know this, we accept it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018We are just different people.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But we don’t really use it to our advantage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We don\u2019t take it for a spin and use it to live a life that is less stressed out and way more liberated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We STILL believe we are always right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are STILL convinced we are living in the same world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most painful examples of how we don\u2019t realize that everything in life is purely about perception, is when it comes to other people\u2019s opinions about us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We simply don\u2019t realize that people only ever see their very personal perception, their story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their individual creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their idea of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And of you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This world we seem to live in is a totally subjective experience and belongs to the person, and only to the person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s why it really doesn\u2019t matter what people think and say about you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because if they don\u2019t like or appreciate you, they simply don’t like their idea about you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If nobody out there is capable of seeing the real world, if everything we can ever experience is nothing but a subjective and utterly individual interpretation, would it be really possible for someone else to know who you are?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What we hate is nothing but our image of something, our idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our opinions are never, ever objective assessments, not even close, because we are utterly incapable of being neutral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We simply project and mistake the projection for reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And here\u2019s another thing: people don\u2019t even deliberately think what they think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you go for a walk in the city, every judgment, every idea, every opinion, is automatically created, automatically arising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can\u2019t help it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You don\u2019t go around criticizing everything because you really want to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a spontaneous happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s what minds do, all the time, and you couldn\u2019t stop it even if you want to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So if you take into account our totally skewed idea of the world AND the purely habitual arising of thoughts, who gives a shit about the content?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It doesn\u2019t mean anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s completely personal and inaccurate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now that\u2019s what I call a big fucking relief!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n
