{"id":46406,"date":"2022-03-05T09:31:00","date_gmt":"2022-03-05T09:31:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/?p=46406"},"modified":"2022-03-05T09:31:03","modified_gmt":"2022-03-05T09:31:03","slug":"life-is-a-word","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/2022\/03\/05\/life-is-a-word\/","title":{"rendered":"Life is a word."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Whenever I try to catch life in words, I am too late.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My description is too broad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Or too narrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And too bland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybe too detailed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Or not detailed enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s mindblowing how something that is so obviously happening and unfolding and intimate, something we are in the middle of, is so utterly ungraspable, uncontainable, and indefinable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can feel love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can feel hate, and the urge to torture and kill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can discuss the future and hang on to the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can look at the sky and see the sun, we can watch a face and isolate a teardrop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We create all day long and thingify.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We thingify and conceptify and snapshotify that which is essentially one happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We cut out and isolate and believe it to be solid and true and personal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That is not wrong, it is a practical application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is part of communication, of sharing, of connecting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We try to find meaning and let that move us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We hope for the best and\/or expect the worst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We create our lives and don\u2019t realize that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We storify.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I storify.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Is &#8216;Wow&#8217; a good word?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Photo by @pf91_photography, for Unsplash)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Whenever I try to catch life in words, I am too late.
