When you\u2019re a coach, people tend to ask you for advice.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether they\u2019re your clients or random human beings emailing you, there will be questions about a broad variety of topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a coach, you\u2019re expected to know more than many others, and while that is definitely true on a specific level, it\u2019s surely not true for everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of those things is the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A pretty important, pretty big thing, even though it doesn\u2019t really exist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most questions people have are about that future anyway (\u201cWhat should I do with this\u201d, \u201cWhat is the best choice?\u201d, \u201cWhat if this happens?\u201d, \u201cHow should I deal with this in order to get that?\u201d) and the thing is: I know as much about that as they do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Almost nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or, well, nothing, really.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My idea of the future is just as made up as yours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a mental construct, a web of ideas and predictions I believe in which serves as a blueprint or soothing plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now I can definitely come up with answers to these practical questions, for sure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can guess, I can search within my history and experience, I can state the obvious, I can parrot the cool-sounding thing I just read in a blog, I can make up shit and look sincere while doing so, but none of those things have any true value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They’re all hypothetical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The thing, the reality is: I don\u2019t know what you should do or what will happen if you do it or don\u2019t do it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can\u2019t say anything about the future which is not just an educated guess, and I have no idea what would be the right thing for you to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But who cares anyway?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I DO know, at least consciously (unlike most people), is that life moves on anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Always.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stuff always gets resolved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Decisions will be made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Always.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And not knowing a solution in the morning doesn\u2019t mean you won\u2019t have a brilliant one in the afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Life provides, and it does so at the perfect moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Always.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being deeply aware of that is worth much more than any \u2018right\u2019 answer to any question about the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because from that more universal trust and realization all the answers and solutions and hints and insights you will ever need will arise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So the only thing you really have to know, is that you don\u2019t have to know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s true!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s definitely not the specific thing people think they need when they ask for advice, but it\u2019s way, WAY more powerful and way more helpful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In other words (I know you like words):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will know what to do in the future, in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will know, when you know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time will tell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Really.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Always.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And when this simple truth starts to land in you, it will help you relax and prevent you from getting lost in rumination and doubts and self-judgment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will start to recognize the fact that you are divinely equipped to deal with life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Always.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trust me on this one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n
