Life is fine without shiny expensive stuff for a couple of years, but then people start to teach you things, and when you go out into the world you learn that showing off is a good thing.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

It will give you respect and credibility.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
You\u2019ll be safe.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

So you start longing for goodies, shiny things in nice white boxes, and when you’re finally able to obtain them, they make you feel good as long as it lasts (which isn\u2019t very long, in general).<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
You collect more and more and shinier and shinier, until one day.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
One day you realize that there\u2019s no end to this luxurious hoarding, and you become interested in spirituality.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Which changes everything.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
All those capitalist longings become part of the old you.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Now you want purity, authenticity, sustainability, simplicity.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
You aspire to transcend superficiality, and your new goal is collecting Nothing.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
So no more brands, no more designer stuff.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
You are and have everything you need, exactly as you are.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Right.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Until you wake up to all of that too, and realize:<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Having a Rolex would be cool.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
