\u2018How do I make the right choice?\u2019<\/p>\n
I almost always reply with<\/p>\n
\u2018When will you know what the right choice IS?\u2019<\/p>\n
Because, well, that is just a fair response.<\/p>\n
We don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n
We will never know.<\/p>\n
How could we?<\/p>\n
Is it a week after the REALLY IMPORTANT decision?<\/p>\n
Five-and-a-half minutes?<\/p>\n
Two years?<\/p>\n
A lifetime?<\/p>\n
Five billion lifetimes?<\/p>\n
We just don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n
And like with so many things (which makes it even more bizarre): choices don\u2019t really exist in the world.<\/p>\n
Choices are a complete mental fabrication.<\/p>\n
They fully rely on your imagination.<\/p>\n
They consist of isolating a couple of things in your head and then creating the pressure of having to pick one.<\/p>\n
The perfect one, of course.<\/p>\n
The best one.<\/p>\n
The one you will never regret.<\/p>\n
But that is just really unfair, and unrealistic.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s literally no way to make the perfect decision, because there\u2019s no way to measure it, ever.<\/p>\n
You\u2019ll never be able to compare the outcome of the choice you made… to what would have happened if you\u2019d gone for the alternative.<\/p>\n
The life after the choice you DIDN\u2019T make doesn\u2019t exist.<\/p>\n
So technically speaking you can\u2019t even MAKE the wrong decision, how about that!<\/p>\n
Yeah\u2026<\/p>\n
Why am I telling you this, what\u2019s my point?<\/p>\n
My point is that life will become a million-billion times easier if you relax a bit around all this heavy decision-making and start following your gut.<\/p>\n
Or soul.<\/p>\n
Or your heart (whatever concept speaks to you).<\/p>\n
Because it knows shit.<\/p>\n
It knows shit your head will never ever be able to comprehend.<\/p>\n
And it will eventually take away the torturous pressure of having to do the perfect thing, which will result in healthier, happier, easier and more impactful choices.<\/p>\n
The irony, right?!<\/p>\n
Trying less hard to get way better results.<\/p>\n
Now let me get lyrical for a second, to wrap up our little chat.<\/p>\n
If you make just ONE conscious decision today, let it be to start listening to the singing of your heart.<\/p>\n
No matter what.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s the right thing to do.<\/p>\n
