{"id":31898,"date":"2021-05-26T13:48:49","date_gmt":"2021-05-26T13:48:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/?p=31898"},"modified":"2021-05-26T13:48:51","modified_gmt":"2021-05-26T13:48:51","slug":"i-think-im-better-than-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/2021\/05\/26\/i-think-im-better-than-you\/","title":{"rendered":"I think I&#8217;m better than you."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>I am SO judgmental.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No, wait, let me rephrase that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018The mind\/body-system that seems to be writing this, the illusory thing that is created by universal intelligence to experience separation in all of its wicked splendor, judges the fuck out of life.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like: Pro Level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walking through Amsterdam is a dubious, fiercely opinionated adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fat people, ugly coats, hideous cars, boring haircuts, stupid songs, hipster dogs, shitty behavior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The list goes on and on and on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How much superiority can the mind come up with?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luckily for me I happen to know a bit about this deal, this life thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comparing stuff is what we do, it\u2019s what we\u2019ve learned to do all the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So we constantly engage in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We walk around or just sit and wait, while the demon of discernment has a ball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s a human thing, and we all experience it , whether we\u2019re super spiritual or super ignorant (or a combination of both).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because even after a few pretty cool enlightenment experiences in this mind, the weird tendency to differentiate and feel good about being better persisted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pretty Much Self-Realized Marnix Thing was still doing the twisted human dance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yeah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is really very funny if you know it&#8217;s not really you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is really creative and it never stops, and that is quite special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s like a game that doesn\u2019t need you to play it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So now you know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think I am better than you (at least sometimes).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And it doesn\u2019t mean shit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Photo by @charlesdeluvio, for Unsplash)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am SO judgmental.
