There are billions of worlds on this planet.<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

There is your world, and my world, and there are all the other worlds of every other person on earth.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
And they can be extremely different.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Even at the same time, under the same circumstances.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
So while you\u2019re waiting at a bus stop with nine other people, ten different experiences will be present.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
One place, ten worlds.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Now, we kinda know this, but we hardly ever live<\/em> it.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
We don\u2019t really appreciate it and don’t really take it into account.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Most of us don\u2019t use it deliberately and consciously in our lives.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Which is a shame.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Because the reason we have so many problems and differences and fights and pain, is that we don\u2019t appreciate the other worlds.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Or at least try to be aware that we are living in a different one.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
But that\u2019s just not what we do, how we behave, or how we try to understand.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
We want people to see and experience our world.<\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
We want them to be like us.<\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
We think they even SHOULD.<\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Because we deeply believe our world is the right one.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u2018My world must be true, because it is the one I see and experience directly, and that is proof enough for me.\u2019<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
It\u2019s really hard to experience a world you can\u2019t see.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
It\u2019s even impossible for you to see my world, or for me to see yours.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
So, if we can\u2019t see life through the eyes of other people (because even if we try, it\u2019s still our version of it), is there nothing we can do to appreciate each other more, to fight less, to have more compassion, to feel free enough NOT to fight, and to not be so deeply attached to and moved by how we perceive the world?<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Well, no, there is something.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
We can KNOW that we don\u2019t know, and work from there.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
We can become a bit more cautious, a bit more patient, a bit more aware.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
We can start to realize that our worlds, our really intimate and personal worlds, are just as made up and subjective as the next one.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
And even if that doesn\u2019t magically change the world into a place that every person experiences in the exact same way, it can diffuse our personal view.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
That is a form of liberation.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
We can let go of the clinging to our preferences and opinions, of wanting our experience to be the only one.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
We can stop defending the way we look at life, because we start to realize that it doesn\u2019t make much sense to defend something that isn\u2019t universally true in the first place.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
We can start to appreciate the miracle of all these different worlds, even if we still like ours the most.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
And by doing all of that, by realizing how we are all tricked by our minds and sucked into our own version of life, we will start to see it with different eyes.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Open eyes.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Curious eyes.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Eyes that just watch, and explore, and appreciate.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Universal eyes.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Imagine the freedom.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
