There\u2019s a life you don\u2019t live.<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n

It\u2019s the life where you would have done this or that ten years ago.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The life you\u2019d have if you didn\u2019t drop out of university, didn\u2019t quit your piano lessons, d\u00edd move to another country, or didn\u2019t leave this particular person.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Many people suffer from this life.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
They beat themselves up with visions of non-existing homes, careers, spouses and bodies.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
They ruin the life they DO have by drowning in regrets, daydreaming about the things that could have been until the dreams become dark stories that haunt them.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
It\u2019s very easy to see how much time we throw away by not being present and accepting, by fighting the status quo and measuring our actual selves up to the person we could have been, if only\u2026<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
In every single coaching conversation I have, I somehow point people to the simplicity of everything, to the nonsense of wrestling with reality, and the innocence of life without the stories we believe in.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The lives we don\u2019t live are probably the most painful non-existing things out there.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
We can see that, we can know that, we can even f\u00e9\u00e9l that, but most of the time we\u2019re still caught up in the mysterious dimension that exists somewhere between here and there, between what we have and what we don\u2019t.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
This, this is your life.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
And everything that is missing or lacking, is imaginary, a spectacular mental trick that is empowered by the painful idea that there is always better and faster and shinier, no matter how hard we try.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
This is your life, and who you could have been is a flimsy yet engaging scene from a movie that has never been produced.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
It\u2019s not real.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
This, this is the life you DO have.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
It\u2019s as real as it will ever get.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Live it.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
