This morning I got terribly frustrated with someone who owes me money.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u2018Let\u2019s talk about it and find a solution\u2019, he mailed.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u2018The solution is you giving me the fucking money!\u2019, I replied.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
In my mind.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Not for real.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Because I\u2019ve become very familiar with and sensitive to all the ugly and dangerous veils that emotions can pull over our hearts and minds, and I\u2019ve learned to take a step back from poisonous behavior and dangerous conditioning.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
There used to be this belief (well, it actually wasn\u2019t a belief: it was the truth, for sure) that everything I felt was an indication of my relationship with the world around me.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Whatever I felt meant something important.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
My emotions and feelings were there to be explored, acted upon, listened to, indulged in.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Taken mighty seriously, and then some.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
That\u2019s what they taught us, it\u2019s what we all do, the normal way.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
It\u2019s what we do, until we don\u2019t, until we start seeing what\u2019s beyond that.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Realizing the impersonality of all our experiences has opened up a new world of freedom, a whole new galaxy of galaxies with planets called Love, Patience, Empathy and Joy.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
I was chained by reactiveness, a slave to my emotions.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Until I wasn\u2019t.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
So here\u2019s my simple advice: wait, if you can.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
You don\u2019t HAVE to, but it can become your new superpower.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Wait a bit.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Ride it out.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Let is pass.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Let the troubled mind settle down.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
It will change your life, and your emails.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
