I\u2019ve been a fan of both ways of looking at life, alternately.<\/p>\n
There were times that I\u2019d gathered enough \u2018evidence\u2019 to follow one of these extremes for a while, only to run into a sturdy wall of fresh perspective and painful realizations, and to wake up to a whole new world of possibilities.<\/p>\n
I guess the fun of life is that you get to think whatever you want to.<\/p>\n
And, sure, many people will try to correct or oppose or fight you, but in the end nobody really knows.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s no Universal Court of Truth.<\/p>\n
So we can play, and play, and play.<\/p>\n
I love to life within some kind of \u2018enlightened opportunism\u2019.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s something like the middle way, but not always.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s where paradoxes make total sense, and where you can feel both right and left without any problem.<\/p>\n
Sometimes I say I don\u2019t know, because that\u2019s basically true.<\/p>\n
Sometimes I\u2019m sure I DO know, and that seems true in the moment.<\/p>\n
My steadiness is found in the shifts of life.<\/p>\n
My certainty is the result of my ever changing preferences.<\/p>\n
I like, REALLY like, to believe that I\u2019m here for a reason, to do and learn something.<\/p>\n
So that\u2019s what I do.<\/p>\n
I like to embrace the story of my life, the path, the journey, the lessons.<\/p>\n
I play my part with love and wonder and frustration and despair, and sometimes it looks like I changed things singlehandedly, and sometimes I try for weeks but nothing really happens.<\/p>\n
I guess anything can feel true.<\/p>\n
Left AND right, black AND white, light AND dark.<\/p>\n
Isn\u2019t it amazing to just flow with all of it and change your mind in a heartbeat?<\/p>\n
Does it really matter what matters?<\/p>\n
Well, that\u2019s totally up to you.<\/p>\n
